Victim Punches Back With Powerful Words

Gay bashing victim punches back with a powerful message in this video. Casey, kaysea81 of YouTube, was on his way to a bar when he was victimized by a young man in his twenties. The assailant was palling around with two of his buddies when the incident occurred.

Casey took the highroad during the scuffle but punches back in this heartfelt video. Gay bashing is real, it is something that too many of us have to deal with every day across the world. Some argue that hate crimes are no different than other crimes and should receive no special treatment. That may be true in some cases but all too often the victim of a hate crime is also mentally abused. The result of that abuse can last a lifetime. In those situations it’s like saying rape is nothing more than a physical assault crime.

I probably would have beat the crap out this guy. Of course I say that but we never really know what we’d do until we’re faced with the same scenario. Though I am sure if I were walking down the street and saw this taking place I would increase the numbers for the victim. That’s assuming there are no weapons involved — hey, I’m being honest.

I’ve done it before. A few years ago a friend and I witnessed a kid trying to take a purse from a lady. She was hanging onto her purse so he was forcing her forward. My friend told me to look and I did. I immediately grabbed him by the arm and pulled him with me. As we approached, the kid ducked tail and ran. It works! His release caused her to fall backward but she was okay. I only wish more people would take action instead of just standing there watching in disbelief. My experience wasn’t a hate crime but it is proof that will jump in if I think I can help a victim.

What gets me more than anything is this (as usual) makes the perpetrator look like a wimp. They hardly ever do this if they are on their own. It’s usually when they’re backed by one more buddies. And they usually just single a person who is by him or herself. It kind really squashes the macho image they are trying to accomplish. Wimps!
