Lika Starr - Under The Knife!
Now it’s on to the fun stuff — the look, feel and functionality. I have chosen the Options theme by Justin Tadlock to start with. Of course, I’ll be taking the knife to it to make it unique as I did with my previous setup.
What you see as of this writing will be the overall layout of the design. In the beginning I will just be adding some of my own design elements and trying to get this lovely beast to work with some of my favorite plugins. The Options theme isn’t for everyone because of that reason. It doesn’t like some plugins out of the box. But the flexibility in design/layout makes up for the difference. Plus, Justin is constantly working on the backend of this theme. I like that, I like it alot. It’s not often you find someone dedicated like he is. By header image, I’m assuming you mean the image of my name…? Yes, of course you do. (Sorry, I’m a little brain dead from too much CSS)
It’s not a vector image. It’s just an image I created in Photo Shop some time ago. The original on my previous blog design included a background and was smaller. This one has a transparent background. Sorry, but I do not recall the font I used. To get the raised pearl effect I just made some adjustments to the bevel/overlay/satin/shadows from within PS blending options. That’s it.

hey lika! i’m really loving the site. can’t wait to see what it looks like when you’re done. i noticed the side changes and the navigation is lost when viewing the full posts. something you might want to look into.
the new site is hot. ive been trying to install the new wordpress for AGES but i have failed on all accounts lol. i rly suck @ teh webz
