Am I Gay – Are You Gay

[Source: Flickr by jusfun]

I found it very interesting to discover that one of the top search phrases on Google for gay related keywords is the phrase, “Am I gay?”

I am not the only person that owns a website who is aware of this. There are hundreds of gay quizzes out there. Most are just silly and just want your email address for marketing. I’ve ran across these quizzes before. You can find them anywhere, especially on personal pages like MySpace. I’ve always taken them lightly because usually it’s just another form of a joke being played on the reader.

You would think that a person would know if he is gay, straight or bisexual. The answer is pretty simple really. It’s the gender(s) you are attracted to. To put it more bluntly and since this site is geared towards gay males; it’s who makes your dick get hard. You either know you’re gay, know you’re not or somewhere in between. Simple as that.

However, since people are asking search engines if they are gay with the phrase, “Am I gay?” there must be some seriousness to it. Right? So I decided to implement my own experiment that should answer the question, “Are you gay?” Please note this is obviously for males only.  Of course, if you are female and this totally repulses you then you may be a lesbian — duh!

See the photo above? Click it! You’ll be presented with a much a larger view in another window or tab that should just about fill your screen. Take a nice long look at the enlarged photo then come back here and leave a comment. Let us know what you thought or did after checking it out. In your comment also state your sexuality or whether you are still unsure.

If you are still not convinced whether you are straight or gay, I have one more for you. See the guy in the towel below. Click him! — NSFW! You will be taken to another site of mine where you will discover what is under the towel. Repeat the above and then leave your comment.

damn it! following your directions made me hard. i guess that means i am gay. :D

it has a special place in my heart

  2. Michael Collins

    Hi Lika,

    Interesting piece!

I’m a firm believer in that no one is either 100% gay or 100% straight. The human mind and body is such a complicated beast that to label someone is one of two categories does us all a disservice.

Life is not black & white! ;-)

I’ve liked men since I entered puberty. I would fantasize about my fellow male classmate’s crotches as I walked the halls of Junior High. But, does this mean I can’t find a woman arousing?

    Absolutely not.

One of my favorite porn videos of late is The Masseuse series starring Jenna Jameson. (I know, it’s kinda old but I don’t keep up with straight porn all *that* often.) ;-)

    Massages are sexy,

    They’re sensual.

A hot guy getting a massage is big fricken’ turn-on.

The fact that it’s being given by Jenna Jameson is actually a plus in my book.

The story line is compelling, and the actors are hot.

Gets me hard each and every time I see it.

But does this mean I’m any less gay than I am?

It forces us into the same mindset that straight guys are in whereby heaven forbid they acknowledge the sheer beauty of the hot guy standing before them lest someone might think they’re gay.

Yes, those two pics above were hot. I actually liked towel guy’s pic when he didn’t have his hand underneath his towel. Don’t ruin my imagination next time. ;-)

    In any event, excellent piece!

  5. shoobert

i wanted to peel his briefs off to see what was underneath, the thought got me hard

  6. shoobert

loved what was peeking out of the towel, don’t know wether i’m unsure or just frightened of admitting i may be gay but i know that gay porn is the only thing that gets me hard with the exception of my wife, yes i am married and even more confused than ever i’d love to be able to chat with someone about this.

Hmm, I’m not sure if I passed. I liked what i saw, but I didn’t get hard.

BTW, I think I’m bi leaning towards teh males. I still like the ladies but in the end if I have a choice i would totally play with boys over girls, if you catch my meaning.

  8. Jon

    orientation-bi(with a leaning toward gay)

pictures didn’t do much for me. maybe their just not my type.

  9. Jayk

Failed on the first, passed on the second. I don’t think the first was really my type… XD

Orientation: 99% gay (with a bi-romantic tendency… it’s confusing, but in the end I prefer guys sooooo… yeah)

  10. alittlebi

I found the first picture hot. I imagine trailing my hand down the belly and under the undies to get what’s underneath… now that gets me hard. The second picture not so much, though I did linger there a bit too.

I am married to a woman who identifies as queer–probably a 3 or 4 on the Kinsey scale. I’d say I’m just about a 2. We discuss our sexuality openly with one another and are, in theory only thus far, polyamorous.

Being highly sexed, I look at porn a fair bit. Most of it is of women. I’d like to get more pictures of men, but I find much of gay porn too graphic, active, and forceful. I liked the first picture because he’s perhaps more my type, but also because it is passive–he’s just lying there, exposing a little, leaving my imagination to work. I’d like to see more male nudes just posing (more sensual than overtly sexual?). I do enjoy some gay, ffm and mmf images and videos too, sometimes.

Interesting to read the various comments, too. So am I gay? No. Neither am I wholly straight.

  11. John

I believe in 100% one way or the other. I am 100% gay and I have never pretended to be anything other than that. Women have never been attractive to me nor will they ever be, although they are my best friends in many cases. How can you not believe that?

I think most people that say they are bisexual are fooling themselves. It’s a cop out; you can seem to be halfway normal so it’s a lot safer to pretend like you are bi than to admit to being gay. There was a small study done by a University that backed this up. Look it up.

  12. Z

    @Michael Collins

I own that movie. Love it. I agree wholeheartedly with you. I am female, but love both men and women. I respect us as a species, and that it is just human nature to be attracted to both. Why have one when you can have both? lol Love the pics, too. :)

  13. fate

hey, I stumbled here, and I’m a lesbian.

I got wet at the first one, and wetter at the second. I’ve been with men, and it does nothing for me, but the IDEA of it, turns me on… so I guess the above commenter’s idea of no 100% holds true. I love watching gay male porn, and the idea of men with each other is a big turn on, but me with men? not so much.

just presenting the other side of the coin… too many women are afraid to be lesbians nowadays…

  14. tony

took the test. i passed. i am at least 99% gay. i think my best girlfriend is sexy but that does not mean i want to f*ck her, ewww, yuck, gag! i am in love with lika. i would let him f*ck me anytime. he refuses to pm me :(

  15. Sean

took the test, and passed. im definately GAY! all 3 pics where awsome! But i knew i was gay anyway.

I must say though that i prefered the guy with the towel (minus the peekshow) for the sinple fact that i ike men to be men and he is in a very masculine pose, standing there, grabbing himself… *drool*

But anyway you all make excellent points. We cannot bundle everyone into categories. we are who we are, and we fancy who we fancy. no-body knows why we each find different things and people appealing, we just do…

I assume you don’t mean she’s 100% lesbian. I mean if that were the case then how could she be attracted to you sexually (other than physical stimulation) unless there was another female involved. I’m probably getting too personal but honestly, it struck my curiosity ;)

My partner does not identify as lesbian. She uses the word queer because queer to her simply means other than wholly straight. Our sex was very passionate the first few years together and, while we still enjoy each other sexually 15 years later, we have both been desiring the other side from time to time. Yet while she did have a same sex encounter once, I never have. I don’t know what an actual encounter might do in terms of my same-sex attraction. I’ve ever only fantasized.

In terms of personality, people have often thought I was more feminine, and some have thought I was gay. I don’t mind. The hard-on test, however, if I can put it that way, confirms a much quicker reaction to female nudity than male nudity. Yet I can easily get turned on by an attractive male. I think we are complex sexual beings–too complex, indeed, to fit everyone into one or another category. I think training, too, has much to do with it. For most of my early adulthood, I refused to admit any attraction to men, so I focused only on women.

We too easily try to divide everyone and everything into neat dichotomies–black/white, male/female, hetero/homo, good/bad, etc. I simply think we are sexual beings who can find a variety of sexual experiences pleasurable, even though some gravitate more towards one side than another.

That is a neat graph, though I think Kinsey’s scale is easier to read ;) . Even better–certainly more complex–is the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid (http://www.bisexual.org/kleingrid.html). I haven’t filled it out for myself, but I have read some of Klein’s work, as also the quarterly Journal of Bisexuality (http://www.bisexual.org/kleingrid.html) published by Haworth Press. Very interesting, engaging and important in breaking through needless barriers erected by elements within both the straight and gay communities.

Serious sexologists, it seems to me, tend to see much more complexity in human sexuality and rarely reinforce rigid and divisive dichotomies. I find, and I don’t mean to offend anyone here, that those claiming sexuality goes strictly one way or another tend to base their claims on personal subjectivity and/or simplistic science (i.e. Rieger’s arousal tests at Northwestern University that recently spawned headlines claiming bisexuality didn’t exist).

Sorry for my rather long and somewhat academic comments, but my stance is that if I feel attraction to (and can jerk off to) both attractive men and women, then I’m bisexual. Of course anything can be defined into and out of existence…

  18. Jed

Same sentiment as a few of these comments…
Love the first shot – I dig the idea of temptation, and not giving everything away. Letting me use my imagination gives me a much bigger rush than a picture of a guy grabbing his cock. Generally speaking.
There are, of course, always exceptions..

  19. xPirate

    Holy WOW!
    I’m most certainly gay!

  20. Joel

I think the guy in the first picture should cut his fingernails.

    Yes, I am gay.

  21. Johnny

So, I think you stole my picture as I look similar to the guy in pic #1. I am gay and am in a relationship with a bisexual man. I was once in the bi-is-fake camp but not so much anymore.

I didn’t know that cute fuzzy bellies were popular – here in Upstate, NY they are not what’s “sexy” though I think I am more sexually adept than most of the guys around…

Love this whole discussion group for breaking down the categories…massages for lika for posting this!

  22. Michael

I got repulsed. Gross. Guess im not gay, thanks! haha
i was actually confused because i want to do a straight gangbang. like 3 guys to a girl. or just a FMM. i really dont know why. Maybe just to see her get all so called “wholes” filled. Thanks again

  23. anonnn

Aw fuck i think i like dudes i got hard on the first one not the second one though. I wonder why?

  24. phoenixrebirth

oh wow, nothing, nothing for either of them. i actually thoght i was bi for a few weeks

  25. bdman

I didn’t think i was but those pictures make me believe i am 100% gay!

  26. steve

I wasnt sure about my sexuallity either
I believe we all have some gay and straight characteristics in our sexuality. Those pics are awesome looks like a quite fine with hot juicy men. Either way own sexuallity should be a matter of personal choice. Most of all what should be placed as first issue is respect for other peoples sexuality,
    my 2 cents, steve

  27. Brice

ok..umm im not hard at all…but i know im not straight. cuz i mess around with my best friend alot (eric) lol! but idk…i mess around alot…but idk…seems like i want to stay with eric…(he doesnt sleep around) haha, ive liked him since 5th grade, now were sophmores in college. lol! we live together. point is i dont think im gay cuz i mess with girls too and enjoy it. but i have this weird feeling for eric…is that love?? :) he told me that he has a weird feeling too…like he wants to be with me forever….are we gay??

  28. Tristan

  29. tim

oh wow i think i’m bi cause i got real hard on both, but id wouldnt go out with a guy but i really really really want to have gay sex (oral especially, i want to feel a big juicy one in my mouth…) but idk though i like girls a lot

  30. t-boy

You know you’re really gay when you think the pics are hot but the thought of the two guys above this comment are even hotter: Tristan with his hard and horny self fulfilling Tim’s fantasy. If those two guys were in the same room at the same time you know it would happen. That’s HOT!

  31. Cockssrule!

I am so gay. I bought 100 male thongs online yesterday and have already taken a dick in 12 of them. I love sucking penises!

  32. FameMonster

Well I know that I am gay even though I’m [very young] but also there are things about a woman that are… Shall I say okay. But I know in the end I could only love a man like that. (not to be creepy) By the way that is not my real email address I feel as though i’m to young to trust that to the Internet yet.

  33. Joe Samson

    this is helpful

i am married but have always been into guys, was bi in my teenage years.
am struggling now to find space for the male on male action i crave

that picture (jeans) totally gave me an instant erection….may have to go take care of that before bed

def not 100% gay, but leaning more and more to the majority

  34. dude

i found all the comments thought provoking as i flew through cyber space,i found a lot more answers than questions!

  35. kuro
