Last night on American Idol Adam Lambert belted out another rock classic Born to be Wild originally by Steppenwolf. Simon Cowell said he liked it but didn’t think it was as good as last week’s performance when Cowell gave Lambert a big standing “O” after his haunting performance of Mad World originally by Tears for Fears. Meanwhile, Paula Abdul appeared to be having her own big “O” by the time Lambert finished and totally owned his unique version of Born to be Wild. Watch it above.
Before his Idolness a relatively unkown Lambert graced a smaller crowd with his magical vocal talents… Check out the videos below.
First up Is Anybody Listening from the 2006 musical, Ten Commandments starring Val Kilmer.
Second is a performance of Dust In The Wind performed on Upright Cabaret’s Hollywood Nights Encore in September, 2007.
Finally an Adam Lambert original, Crawl Thru Fire performed at The Zodiac Show, Hollywood in September, 2008.
